Modalities Used

Mary utilizes a holistic approach to psychotherapy, integrating aspects of various modalities to ensure treatment is tailored to the specific client rather than making the client fit the treatment. Below are some modalities utilized.

EMDR

Using bilateral stimulation (side to side eye movement, tapping or sounds) EMDR allows your brain to process previously unprocessed memories and traumas.

ACT

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy uses a mindfulness approach to accepting life as it is, but not letting it control how you feel.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is the current gold standard treatment for many issues and looks to change how we think and act to change how we feel.

IFS

Internal Family Systems asks you to look within, to all the different parts that make you who you are, giving way to healing each of those parts which then heals the whole.

DBT

Dialectical Behavior Therapy helps people manage intense emotions and improve relationships through skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation.
